How to Heal PvE as a Discipline Priest

Basics

• Inner Fire and Power Word: Fortitude
• Use Shadowfiend for mana regen
• Use Holy Fire, Smite for Atonement healing

Tank healing

• Use Penance and Power Word: Shield on CD ### Low/moderate damage:
• Heal
• Power Word: Shield
• Prayer of Mending
• Renew IF: moving, tank has Weakened Soul, and Prayer of Mending is on CD ### High sustained damage:
• Greater Heal
• Power Word: Shield
• Penance
• Prayer of Mending ### Emergency
• Flash Heal
• Binding Heal if you also need healing

AoE/Raid healing

• Prayer of Mending on CD, Prayer of Healing, and Power Word: Shield
• Tier 6 talent: Cascade, Divine Star, or Halo
• Spirit Shell ### Low/moderate damage
• Prayer of Healing if >= 3 people in party
• Power Word: Shield every 12sec ### High damage
• Same as Low, but add Spirit Shell ### High sustained damage
• Spam Prayer of Healing

Cooldowns

• Spirit Shell, maybe stack with Power Infusion
• Inner Focus use on CD
• Pain Suppression on tank before spike
• Power Word: Barrier for intense AoE damage, if stacked
• Void Shift: use Desperate Prayer immediately after

Atonement Healing

• Atonement
• Smite, Holy Fire (or Power Word: Solace), and Penance damage converted to heals
• Use Archangel to consume up to 5 stacks of Evangelism

Talents

• Void Tendrils
• Body and Soul
• All 3 look good, probably try Power Word: Solace first.
• Desperate Prayer
• Twist of Fate or Power Infusion
• Cascade

Glyphs

• Glyph of Holy Fire
• Glyph of Prayer of Mending
• Glyph of Inner Sanctum

Stats

• Int > Crit > Mastery > Spirit > Haste
